In 1996, the engineer Guido Hiller founded an engineering office for energy and automation technology.

In 1999, the IGEA Ingenieurgesellschaft für Energie- und Automatisierungstechnik GmbH was founded. Until today, the company has developed itself into a mid-sized and leading company for plant and special machine construction.

In 2009, Guido Hiller took over the company Rolf Deerberg Maschinenbau GmbH - the world market leader for nonwoven and film processing machines and systems - and integrated these as DMS Deerberg Mechanical Systems GmbH into the existing group.
